Lance Atkins joined Capay Farms as a Field Manager in 2019, following 10 years in the seed industry. He started his career as a Crop Advisor and Agronomist, eventually becoming the North America Lead of Sunflower Operations for Syngenta Seeds.   Raised in Southern Idaho, he holds a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Science from Brigham Young University-Idaho, and an M.S. from Iowa State University in Agronomy.

Lance has lived in Chico, CA with his wife and five children since 2014.  He enjoys coaching baseball, trail runs in Bidwell Park, and pickup basketball.
