Mathew Cox was born and raised in Northern California. Growing up in the small, rural community of Gridley, some of his first working opportunities came from his grandparents’ peach receiving station. Upon graduating high school, he continued his education at Cal Poly SLO, receiving a BS in Agricultural Business. While at Cal Poly, Mathew was introduced to the crop protection industry through an internship with Helena Chemical in Sonoma County.

Mathew came to Capay Farms Inc in 2004 starting as an assistant to Robert Sanders, the company’s PCA. Matt’s first years at CFI were spent scouting fields, checking traps, and completing the required tests to obtain a PCA license of his own. Over the years, Mathew’s roles at CFI have grown from assistant PCA, lead in-house PCA, to Field Manager.
