Paul Violich went to Stanford University for both his undergraduate degree in History and his graduate degree in Business Administration. He served four years as an Officer in the Naval Special Warfare Development Group doing underwater demolition (Sea, Air, and Land Team). He entered the investment management profession in 1962 in New York City. He joined Wentworth, Hauser and Violich in 1966 and founded Violich Capital Management in 2005. Mr. Violich still devotes time to economic and corporate research and portfolio management. Mr. Violich is on the Board of Trustees of the Corporation of The Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco as well as the Board of Trustees of the San Francisco Fine Arts Museums Foundation. He was a past member of the Stanford Athletic Board. He is currently the president of Violich Farms, Inc., one of the largest producers of Almonds and Walnuts in California.
